They very likely will on some visits. Although it was a restaurant chain we pulled out a random selection of visits to check the timings and other details. It's not practical to do every visit, but it's an indication of how professional each company is.
The mystery shopping company would take it very seriously because a client could pull their work if that mystery shopping company had cheats and frauds who lied on their reports.0 -

The manager will make swift changes after the report has reached them! I may see colleagues with two badges on..........
Just speaking personally from my experience the point of mystery shopping is to (i) get an idea of what customers think about brand standards, and (ii) to measure whether there is compliance regarding existing brand standards.
The aim isn't to try and score points over staff (or not in my experience anyway). It's likely that the manager or head office would just wonder why staff didn't have name badges showing. It wouldn't be to scare staff to ensure they had name badges on every piece of clothing in case one wasn't visible. The manager would know they weren't badges showing so if it was that important to the brand, they'd have probably already resolved it.0 -

Exactly, all we do is collect data, we don't get involved in wondering about the outcomes of it, nor do we make mountains out of molehills. We get paid the same for a good report as a bad report, so have no desire to want to pull anyone down or be anything other than a lay, impartial, pair of eyes and ears.
We are reporting on someone's ability to do their job, so by definition, people may not agree with our findings, for that reason, we need to be accurate, honest, and faultless in our following of the instructions. If we do something wrong, and then say someone else is doing something wrong, it's just the pot calling the kettle, and our words can be dismissed.Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?0 -

I did some shops for AQ back in April and so far still haven't gotten paid and have had problems getting anyone to reply to e-mails and the one person who has responded keeps telling what seems like stories about delays and payments having been made etc.... Can't see myself doing anything for them again in the future :-(
Good there are plenty of others who pay and answer mail or calls...

My policy with bad payers is:
Check your paperwork back, it is possible to end up looking a fool because a payment wasn't what you thought it was.
Send a polite letter and written invoice to their registered address with a fair timeframe defined for them to send payment.
After that timeframe, send a firmly worded Letter Before Action.
After that timeframe, go to Small Claims court.Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

Is anyone else finding MF have started posting a load of jobs overnight each day - mostly with either an expired completion window, or to be completed within 18 hours? It almost seems like they don't want these jobs to got done.0

I'm assuming that they're jobs people have picked up then dropped when they've had a better offer.Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

There were about 80 of them available to me this morning, all with yesterday or today as a completion date, which is an unusually high number. I'm assuming that everyone decided it was far too nice a day yesterday to be bothered with doing jobs for those fees. :rotfl:0

Normally, aye. Or they just picked up too many and couldn't get them done.sparklysaver wrote: »There were about 80 of them available to me this morning, all with yesterday or today as a completion date, which is an unusually high number. It looked like someone had put the wrong date on then because I logged on later and the dates had changed.0 -
