Friday 14th September - What small things will you be doing today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important. :money:
Morning guys  quick post from me before I jump in the shower! :j to Friday and the last worknig day of the week
* making pepper and onion omelette for work at the moment
* quick shower and tie back hair to save time!
* going out for a meal tonight and using Tesco voucers - to celebrate oh finishing his exams, and that we will receive the contract on our new house next week :T
* check banking - but will be exactly the same but just the same!
* breakfast & lunch from stores
* start working out what we need to do for the move
* going to friend's to take their dog for a walk after work and will get ready to go out at theirs
Ok that's all for me today. Happy Friday x

Hi everyone
DNMS - have a great night out tonight. Big contrats to both of you!
Ziggy - what are you reading? I've read a great fab few books recently - The Curiosity Cabinet, A Family Affair and now on Three Thousand Miles for a Wish. I tend to go ages without reading anything and then gorge!
Stitchy - Have a fab day and I'm sure you can pull the 'financial fast' out of the bag. Once you get into it it defo gets easier.
Here's me:
· Sold another book - £24! That's 3 sales this week = 1 pair of shoes pour moi :T
· Going out tonight to celebrate the new shoes :rotfl: - going to pub I get 10% discount in and only staying for a few! £10 max. Bus home with bus pass.
· Surveys - need to - although not sure when I'll find the time - extended lunchtime perhaps…
· Lunch from home
· Bit of knitting - still knitting for pal's baby0 -

*Last year I persuaded my partner to stop buying new books at £8 a shot and start buying secondhand at £2 a go; now I'm on a new mission: stop buying secondhand books at £2 a go and start borrowing from the library for free. At our library they order you in books for 30p if they don't have it in.
*Sharpened paper shredder by shredding a piece of A4 tin foil. Repeated once and the shredder works like new!
*Old expandable folder is beyond repair. Put all paperwork into new expandable folder bought on offer for £3. Ditch the junk within folder.
