mortgage with 1 default

we are trying to buy a house for 87k on selling the car for 5k so we can put that down but my partner has 1 default for £150 can any1 please help me and tell me sum of the places that might give him a mortgage? we have an adviser cuming 2night but i wanted to have a look myself so we no what to espect.

    It depends on the circumstances behind the default, ie how recent was it, has it been paid etc.

    Abbey may do it, and Nationwide will now consider very minor hiccups now.

    its for a contract fone, and it was giving in 2003 and no he hasnt paided it as he has just found out about it trough his credit check.

    It shouldn't cause you any real problems due to its age. Might be as well to pay it off and ask that the adviser to inform the proposed lender of your intention to pay it off and how it came to light.

    we see what the mortgage man says 2nite, he cant even remember geting the fone. Also the bate of birth on it is wrong could he contest this?

    ive done a search on money supermarket.com and they have come back wif this mortgage company Britannia BS has any1 had them as a mortgage comp?

    I cannot see that you will have much of a problem here Many lenders will entertain your mortgage due to the small amount of the default and date involved

    Some lenders ignore them

    The lender you mention is very good as are others

    You have nothing to be concerened about

    i no northen rock would give him 100% but 2 month ago we didnt have a 5% TO PUT DOWN
