Best way to use my marks and spencer vouchers

Options
we have received £75 worth of m&s vouchers that we intend on using on food for the coming month or so - what would you stock up on and is there anything to avoid? Want to try and get the most for our money as really feeling the pinch at the moment

If you are interested in their dine in meal for 2 for £10 offer and are on o2, then you can get a code via the priority moments app which will let you have the deal for £8.
  • I agree that the Dine in for £10 would be a good use of your vouchers. Also, if you're not averse to it, shop in the last hour before closing time and pick up some of their reduced items, your money will go a long way then, especially if you don't mind freezing bread, meat etc to use at a later date.

My M&S reduces all going-out-of-date items down to either 80p, 50p or 10p in the last hour of trade. This includes everything, flowers, meat, fish, bread, dips, salads, sandwiches, sushi... In my experience, M&S are VERY conservative with the dates of items and they all seem to stay fresh for a good few days after purchase, even on the last day of their use by. I've had some amazing bargains shopping this way, platters for 80p, artisan loaves for 10p each, ready meals and pasta dishes/pizzas/quiches for 50p each. Loads of gorgeous fruit and veg, on Monday I got a HUGE bag with about 5 heads of broccolli in it for only 80p which is still green, crispy and fresh now, I also got 3 cucumbers for 10p each and a huge box of strawberries for 50p... all immaculate condition and very, very fresh. Lots of bargains to be had!

    Thanks for that.
I'll be after a new phone contract soon and may consider this.

M&S voucher attract high values on ebay if you want to convert to cash and use elsewhere.

  • If you're feeling the pinch, then buy store cupboard staples like rice, pasta, lentils. Make your own soup rather than buying it. If there are multi-buy offers (e.g. 3 quiches for £6 etc) buy them and freeze them. Buy a Meal Deal as a special treat.

That way, your £75 might go a bit further?
  • Their Dine In deal is a good one this week, I think - Rotisserie chicken is DIVINE! And lasts us a whole week. Go early in the morning to get the biggest one available! I never knew about the O2 app - I'm definitely downloading that one!

Also, their reductions can be excellent - especially in the hour before they close! Maybe make a couple of trips, if that's feasible?

Cos how can you be gloomy, when the sun shines out your bum? :D
  • I got £100 w from Sky, and have been collecting them from the Daily Mail too. I now have £145 worth. I am going to keep them for Christmas. They don't have an expiry date.
    I Believe in saving money!!!:T
