settlement and my credit record

Hi,

I have a (seriously) impaired credit record due to the fact that I signed a Directors personal guarantee on a business loan, where the business failed in 2010. This also impacted a personal loan I had with the same bank.

I have now agreed a settlement figure with the bank to wipe the slate clean, and am wondering if I should also be asking them to repair the damage to my credit record as part of the settlement - if this is possible.

Any advice greatly appreciated....

regards,
Nick

You can ask, but I would say there is very very little chance of them agreeing.

The Credit Record is meant to be an accurate representation of what happened.
