Why do you need an electric duvet, surely a few minutes in bed and your own body heat is sufficient

You may be doing yourself harm by doing this.

Not just the heat but the electricity surrounding you.
Im sure more people can explain it better than me
    .
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Please! I'm looking for an electric duvet. The reasons I want one are mine, and at my age there's nothing you can say that would make me think I don't want one.
  • I used one for years until it conked out - one of the best buys I ever made. I don't know if it's something to do with my circulation but I'm always cold and in the winter the bed took forever to warm up. I've tried electric underblankets and they are ok, but the electric duvet was deliciously cosy.
I want my sun-drenched, wind-swept Ingrid Bergman kiss, Not in the next life, I want it in this, I want it in this

Use your imagination, or you can borrow mine!

Some people are ignorant of the fact that these things harm you long term.

But as long as you are cooking/frying yourself and not me, well, I will bow out with dignity.

Do you mean scare stories such as
Similar health effects have been noted with users of many electric blankets and waterbed heaters will emit EMFs even when turned off.
Emit EMF when swiched off? Great! Free power.

Any electromagnetic field is very dependant on the voltages used. You are probably at more risk from the electromagnetic radiation from your house wiring and the other mains appliances than you are from an LV blanket.
