I need a cheap sewing machine please

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.
I really need a cheap sewing machine has anyone any ideas.
I was going to post on freecycle in my area but theres loads of people already wanting one!
any advice/help appreciated

    Umm...try Tesco, i noticed they had some displayed near their Telly's failing that. Argos are quite good! Or if u want a really cheap one, head to your local car boot, should get a decent running machine for under £10/- i did!

  • Lidl is selling one for £39. Looks ok. I got one from Aldi a few months back - that was also £39. The mother in law thinks it was good value for money. ;)

    Hi,
    Have you looked on Ebay? I got one for £15 last year, it is a reconditioned one. The best thing was it came from a school and it is the same one I learnt to sew on! (it doesnt look the best but it does everything I need)
  • In Tescos yesterday, I saw they have a brother sewing machine on offer until April 17th for £44ish(it had £25 off).

    yep my lidl still has the £39 machine in stock and lod of them. Good price - I paid over £100 for mine a few years back.
    No Longer addicted to Boots! - Well not today anyway!! :blushing:

    T J Hughes have them for under £50, sorry can't remember exact price but they were lightweight ones.
