Hi,
Newbie here!
Looking to get a mortgage real soon to get my foot on the property ladder real soon.
Recently applied for a barclaycard to get the most of their 0% balance transfer rate to swap over a balance from another card, my application was rejected.
Logged onto creditexpert and had a check of my credit report noticed that I had a defaulted account entry I had forgot about! Amount of £140, cleared now tho. Also have two late payment entrys from a few years ago.
Reckon im stressin over nothing but starting to panick, would that inforation be reason to be rejected for a mortgage? Or would i need to have major issues, i.e. CCJ's, repossessions, etc, before i should be worried?
Man i need to stop bein such a stresspot! No wonder im going bald! lol :rotfl:
Thanks in advance!

You should be fine getting a mortgage
What rates you get will depend on how each lender will view your credit history. You could get away with standard rates with some lenders, but it will depend on your overall situation

I dont believe that you have anything to be worried about
If the credit problem which is very small really has ben cleared or satisfied, your okay
Some lenders ignore them completely
