I will try to keep this as simple as poss, feel free to ask questions if its unclear.
Am in the process of splitting with husband, after he had an affair, I am hoping to remortgage the house to raise money to pay off debts then he can go off on his merry way.
However, the problem I have is if I can't remortgage, what to do?
I can easily afford the mortgage payments on my own, but I can't afford them and all the debt repayments. The priority is to keep the house for the children to have stability. So would my best option be, keep up the mortgage repayments and then see if I can do a debt management plan for the debts. I'm guessing me and husband would have to do this together though as they are all in joint names? or could I do it alone?
Can anyone else see any other options?
Thanks

I would have thought that you would take care of your debts, he would take care of his, and the joint ones you will have to HOPE he pays his way on.
good luck with sorting it out. I would suggest using the CCCS debt remedy to see where you stand.
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
