CRB check for childminding

I have decided to retrain as a childminder but before I begin would like a little advice regarding the crb check.
My partner (who is now 46) was charged with assault (against another adult) a couple of times as a teenager - went to court and received fines (not imprisoned).
Does anyone know if this will prohibit me from looking after other peoples children in my own home?

I can't be sure but I think the CRB check in this instance only looks at offences realting to children. The National Child Minding Association (NCMA) might be able to give you a more definitive answer before you get as far as social services.1% at a time no. 40. £8000 (For dream family holiday) 94/100
MFW 2013 no. 62 £10,000/£10,000
MFW 2014 no 62 £8000/£70000 -
An enhanced CRB disclosure will need to be completed for each member of the household including an adult children living at home. Whether adult or child related is irrelvant - an enhanced disclosure will show all offences. As to potential barriers this will depend on your local authority/association processes, for example in some organisations if the incident was not related to children, was considerable time ago etc, and may have processes around crb risk assessments following a positive disclosure to weigh up the potential risk in such cases. Take some guidance from the governing organisation in your area that support childminders0
