Cashplus Card Rubbish

Hi

On my 2nd card in 7months.

First one locked up when i tried to change the pin.

Second one has been declined 3 times when there where adequate funds on it.

Last week had a £300 garage bill to pay for car repairs. Drew the cash out of the BS & loaded the card. In the meantime i managed to get thro to Cashplus to ask why the card was declined the last time, the answer i got was "it'a a glitch just one of those things".

I then asked if i would be able to use the card at the garage. I was astounded to be told the card would def be declined because all Cashplus cards when issued have a block on them preventing them being used for car hire or car repairs. The block can only be removed by a customer services supervisor. The block on my card has now been removed but it didn't inspire me with any confidence. Also there is nomention of this in the terms & conditions it's a good job i wasn't abroard at the time.

I then borrowed the cash off my mother to pay the garage bill which defeats the object of having the card.

Today i tried to draw the cash back off the card to pay back my mum. I went to a Barclays atm & tried twice i def put the correct pin in but both times the pin was not recognised. Yet later on i used the card to pay for petrol. Have tried to get thro to customer services but always engaged.

Has anybody else had problems like this?

Does anybody else know of any other suppliers of pre-paid Mastercard or Visa cards. I know about the pre-paid Maestro card but Maestro is not as widely accepted especially abroard.

I have a Cashplus card and can honestly say I've not had any problems with it ...

I was aware that it can't be used for reservations and the like .. but I didn't know it couldn't be used to pay for garage repairs ..
