This code business is getting ridiculous......you need to just write a short pm in order to get it sent quickly but then you look like you're not very friendly if you only send a 'me please' type pm. :rotfl:
Maybe we should have a stock reply that we all agree on? That way we don't waste valuable minutes writing a nice initial pm and we all understand why we haven't. Iyswim.
Then we can always send a nicer/longer pm afterward to say thank you if we're lucky?
Does that sound feasible to people?
I really don't want to come across as 'grabby' if I ask for a code but I don't type very fast so by the time I send a pm, 200 people will be there before me so a stock phrase would help. :rotfl:
Am I overthinking this?Herman - MP for all!0 -

Good idea, I hate it when nice people give codes out then the takers dont say thankyou. It doesnt take long after all does it xRIP TJ. You my be gone, but never forgotten. Personally yes i think you are. If you are too slow or later than everyone else i'm afraid thats just unlucky. Been there with the kermit ones....however, a me please wouldnt offend me in the slightest, unless it was from someone who's posted ONCE. then they wouldnt get my code anyway.
It took me right up until the last day i think to get all of my kermit codes and was lucky enough to get 4 from lovely people on here. However, i know some people that got about 6 backpacks on ehre that never even bought the milk!
I dont want the straws so have been giving away my codes. reading this makes me wonder whether i should bother wasting my time for people to think its unfair
I dont have time to sift through and reply to 200 pm's. first one gets it and i'll edit to say its gone. Even then i get a few more pms asking for it??? i'm doing people a favour. if that upsets you because you type slow then i'm sorry but thats just how it is.
i didnt get a thanks click from the person who had my code but i got a nice PM. Honestly, it doesnt make a difference to my life if i dont get a click.just not important.Last bet : 26th Oct 2006:j Debt free 25th Feb 2008:j Living "my" dream:T0 -

Oh heck, I'm sorry.
It was really only meant as a light hearted post, I kinda thought most here know my SoH. (I did use jokey smilies.) Everyone knows how quick codes go, I never said anything about unfairness.
I expected a load of jokey replies back about what kind of 'phrase' we could all use.
I didn't expect a post like yours in reply.
Apologies. I didn't realise it could be taken in a different way to the way it was meant.Herman - MP for all!0 -
