Wednesday 12th September - What small things will you be doing today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important. :money:
Good morning all you good people! Been up an hour already so thought I'd start us off today. It's a stitching day for me and still plenty of last weekend's housework jobs to do so I expect to be busy, busy, busy!
Candy - good luck with the job interview love, fingers crossed for you. x
My list for today:
WM run on Economy 7 - done
washing up done on Economy 7 - done
HM granola for breakfast
feed and water the chickens
check banking
check for surveys
prepare a corset for display this evening
collect empty egg boxes from a neighbour instead of buying more
box up half a dozen eggs to sell tomorrow
dig one bed at the allotment
lunch and dinner from stores
make a loaf of bread whilst oven is on for dinner
take corset samples out this evening to drum up business
have an NSD (diesel and drinks tonight from business account)
That'll keep me quiet today. I'll catch up with you all later.

Just realised I forgot to do my usual bullet points - can't be @r$ed to go back and do it again!

Morning All
Thanks Stitchy for starting the thread, thanks very much for the crossed fingers – enjoy your stitching day
Hope everyone is ok, hi to any newbies
Today I have/will:
• Meals from stores
• Try for a LSD – may have to get a bus to interview (depending on the weather)
• Checked bank – no change but I had to check
• Need to do a couple of CV’s and cover letters such as AP assistant and Finance Assistant so when I see a job I can apply for it there and then – didn’t do this last week
• Keep an eye out for jobs I can apply for
• Check survey sites
• Read papers online
• Have a relaxing pampering afternoon (face pack, hair mask etc)
Interview preparation for today….
• Polish shoes
• Try suit on and if it doesn’t fit, try on new trousers (a gift from mum)
• Print off job spec, cv and look at questions to ask
• Research the company
• Look at pivot tables – or admit defeat that I don’t know how to use them
Think that’s about it for me
Take care everyone

Thank you all so much for your good luck messages xxx :T :A
A quick update from me - I went to the interview and not feeling very confident about it....I HATE interviews as I lose my confidence
and there were 4 people being interviewed
Anyhow, there's nothing more I can do about it as the result is out of my hands
So, I've come home from the interview and to cheer myself up, I have baked a chocolate and caramel cake - YUM :T
To be sensible, I will cut it into portions
Think that's it for me

Very little from me today as ive had an eventful day. Plumber/gas man came and fitted radiator and took out old gas fire. A bit later i smelt gas. PANIC!!! an hour later all is fixed. Take kids out for a bit, get stuck in traffic for 30 mins on way home with a crying/screaming child thanks to the tour of britain. Finally get home to find the washing machine isnt draining. Spent 30 mins fixing that. Then find something to fix over gaping hole where fire used to be. By this time its nearly dinner and so on. so very little got done, however i managed;
-to wrap and post 12 ebay parcels
-relist 1 ebay item
-found and paid cheapest car insurance (£44 a month cheaper than this year and with £75 cashback)
-Got discount on my plumbing as it was my dads friend
-Had dinner at home
(lunch for me was a cheeky starbucks coffee and muffin but after the gas stress i darent cook anything, kids ate at my friends today)
-Filled up petrol, rounding it to the nearest litre so i got extra points on my morrisons miles card (put £20.68 in instead of £20 as it rounded to 15 litres)
-Husband is doing overtime again tonight. (so far 4.5 hours and counting)
Off for a bath now as im exhausted and sore (32 weeks pregnant and feeling it
)
