Just ask for smokeless
It's man made. Also known as ovals
It's not cheap at £17 for 50kgs delivered but then I use it on a stove and use only one scuttle a day which is around 12 hours burning
Are you in a smokeless zone? (Or just choose to burn it as it suits you better for the long slower burn) also what size of stove is it - just so I know if it's worthwhile me out in the sticks burning smokeless.Regards, Robin.2011 MFW # 34

No I'm not in a smokeless zone but I use a stove and coal isn't advisable on those because of the soot
I've a 6kw stove0 -

Ah, I know what these are. when I had a Safona fronted fire in the 1980's I bought this stuff, we called it "eggs". I might try a bag or two because I'm paying £16.50 a bag for 5 star anyway so £17 or thereabouts wouldn't make all that much of a difference.
There's a lot less ash with eggs too and with the Baxi ashpan being the size it is we could possibly go 5 days or more without a cleanout.0 -
So Suki, do you get your fuel delivered in bulk and if so from where?Regards, Robin.2011 MFW # 34

No matter what the weather he gets across and has never let us down0 -
'cosy flame' Kane Fuels works great in my stove, £8.50 a bag but worth it0
