Boss threatening to withold bonus

Hi Everyone,
Am furious!!! And hope you can help.
I work for a big company. I haven't had a holiday since last November and have taken 10 days off now. Its the end our our financial year and therefore Annual review time. I had mine 2 weeks before I went on holiday. We have a weird system where we share the documentation and when the line manager is happy with what you have shared then you formally submit afterwhich you can't change anything.
Anyway I shared my documentation, both on line and in a word version. The word version is not necessary but was just an extra my boss asked for. Anyway it took until yesterday for him to review the docs and now he has asked me to formally submit. I am in the middle of my holiday and so have not responded to the texts. Now he has threated to withold my (substantial bonus which I desperately need) if I don't submit them within the next hour.:mad:
While technically I could do this, but I don't see why have to get my work stuff out and log on. Iappreaciate I am being petty but its my first holiday in 10 months and I seriously do not appreciate being threatened!
He will be getting my resignation if he followed through with it.
Any suggestions, comments?

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

He is being a fool. But unfortunately they are everywhere. He should not be texting you on hols.
Keep the texts but just long on and submit it anyway as you are there on a computer anyway. Taking a principled stance will cost you dearly in the long run. Submit and then enjoy the rest if your holiday.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

I know you are right, but am livid. I am going to show it to a very influencial friend within the company when I get back.

Submit the work and when you go back after your breal tell them you want 1 of your days reinstated so you can take it later on.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0

I know! Its probably because I have been too ameniable and flexible in the past.
It doesn't pay to work with the bosses these days. I've always tried to do my best for the employer I work for - staying on late when needed, working all the OT they want, doing them favours etc.. All it got me was kicked in the teeth repeatedly so I no longer do it. I've had colleagues who refuse to go above the call of duty and they're loved by management who weirdly respect them for it. Funny old world.
My last employer did the same too so I walked. The last time I spoke with them they were still asking me to go back :rotfl: To be honest I've been considering that lately but then I know I'll be at their mercy again and I can't be doing with that

So did you do it, OP? If you did it tonight but past the allocated time, and the bonus got delayed, then I would put in a formal complaint (should a knowledgeable source advise that this is a reasonable course of action for you to take).
I agree with others who say to work to rule (although not making a huge song and dance about that). I know people who do their job very well, but take all their breaks and holiday and they do seem to more more respected, but then they are also older so that may be a factor.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. No I haven't done it. I will do it tomorrow with no song or dance. I will not respond to his text and I will be picking it up with the HR Director and with my contact on the board.
I did what I needed to do in time for him to review well before I went on holiday and he didn't bother to review it in time.. He is bullying me and that is not acceptable. The company prides itself of inclusion and equality and the HR practices and now I have proof of it. In retrospct I should have responded to his first text.
