OK...
My boyfriend moved in 1st feb, he as been paying Matience for his Ex on there own aggremnet, she as been on IS since August 2006.
He pays £220 per month now based on his earnings with the csa he should pay about £230 per month.
Me and him have now claimed tax credits together based on our incomes and we get £2 per week.
Now CSA have sent us a form out, we cant understand why because my BF already pays for his child.
Could they have got involved because we pay £10 less.
Its like claiming tax credits as got them looking at our fianaces and his child support.
Hope i make sense.
Thanks for any of youer advice.

Probably totally unrelated. Your OH's ex may have requested it, or is now claiming a benefit that means that she need to declare maintanance.
Why dont you ask the CSA ?0 -
This is slightly odd because if she started claiming IS in August, that should have triggered an automatic referral at the time. However, I suspect that it's this that has eventually caused them to wake up, rather than the Tax Credit.Information is not knowledge.

My Bf rang his EX up to ask her.
and she said she claimed IS Aug 2006 and told them that her Ex paid her £55 per week in child matenience. This was deducdted from her IS. And she had to tell them otherwise it would be Benefit Fraud.
To Me something dont add up with this, my BF as sent CSA a letter stating he pays her every month, but the opnly thing we can think may have triggered this is the fact that he earns a little more, and the CSA could possibly get an extra £10 per month if he went thru them. i just think its a long and winded process.
Maybe we are jumping to the wrong conclusions here.:ASexy_fufu:A0 -
Income Support have done the right thing by deducting the money he pays to his ex, but it has to be done by the CSA now, so it looks like they have just got round to asking him for his details and will now take the money from him rather than him giving it to her direct. Her Income Support should now raise again and she will get ten pounds per week extra.0
