16 year old working hours!!

Can anybody please give me a definitive answer. My daughter, who is 16, and has just commenced year 12 (6th form in old money) to do her A levels, is looking to do some work. But it is confusing as to what hours she is allowed to do.

It says a 16 year old, at School can only do 2 hours a night and 2 of a Sunday as well as 8 of a Saturday. Yet other 16 year old can work all evening, if they aren't in School.

Can somebody please clarify this.

I wasn't aware of any restrictions when I was 16 a few years ago. I worked weekends, around 16 hours a week.
What work is your daughter thinking of? She could get a Christmas retail job if she is quick, most employers are hiring now for their Christmas temps.

Thanks. Yes that's what she was hoping for. But this is what threw us.

it means 16 and still in year 11 (some kids are a lot older in the year) if shes in 6 form/collage it dosnt matter what you work
