  • I got the text on a Friday and received the paperwork on the following Wednesday - so 5 days including a weekend.
  • Oh brill because once the solicitor has that we can exchange!!!hope it's the same for us
  • When you get the text does it mean they have given you the amount that you asked for? We have just got a text now saying we are delighted to tell you....and Im wondering if its for the full amount.
  • Hmmm I think so!i assume it would be for the amount you asked for. We received our offer in writing today and so did our solicitor. We're exchanging tomoz!yay!
  • The valuation is fine so I assume that they would have told us if they couldn't offer the full amount, did you get the text with how much they are offering or was it the standard text 'we are delighted to tell you nationwide have issued a formal mortgage offer, we look forward to completing based on this offer'..
Ooo thats good, does that mean you get the keys?
  • Yeah we got the bog standard text saying theyd issued an offer not saying how much. Then there are only about 5 pages in the post they sent us today apparently the solicitor gets the big pack. No we sign paperwork and go through all the details with the solicitor (I think) then she says we can complete (get the keys) on a date to suit us. We're quite lucky though as we have no chain and the people we are buying off don't live in the house it's their 2nd house.
  • Yes, we don't have a chain either, and the house we are moving into is empty. Ooo I hope we get our paperwork soon. How long did yours take?
  • About 6 working days but royal mail are hopeless around here!
  • Its all very exciting, I'll call them tomorrow and confirm its for the full amount, I'm so nervous about the whole thing!
  • I know it's a roller coaster of emotion!you get the mortgage offer and are excited but then you're onto the next thing dealing with the solicitor and exchanging!!!i don't even know what it all means!
