in Cutting tax
My Dad has a place in the UK and I am planning to move in coz he's retired and happily fishing and living in village outside of the UK. I actually flatshare at the moment so this place will be great for me coz it is like home and closer to work!... :j
However, I just found out my friend knows a guy who needs to place to stay very short term (max 3 months or even less) and doesn't mind renting..
It would be great to earn some extra income before I move in...
Now, I don't really want to hassle with tax returns or bother my dad with tax returns either since the rent might not be that big (maybe max £4000)? Is there a way out of this (e.g. rent a room etc), but still be ok with tax (i.e. I want to pay tax if required but it is just such a hassle to fill in forms etc). Also, my assets is just income at work and savings so I dont need to fill tax return and so don't need to fill in any forms or anything...
If there isn't a solution, then that's fine, maybe I don't rent it out then...but it would just be good to get some money...thanks!
