You could try asking if it is OK for patients to use their mobile phones.

Last month the Health Minister Andy Burnham said there was now no reason for an outright ban on mobiles. The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency said use should be restricted only where specialist equipment is used, such as intensive care and specialist baby units. Have a look at the BBC News Web-site, who covered it on March 14th.

One conclusion was that a porter's walkie-talkie was more dangerous than a patient's mobile phone!!

Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.
