Unexpected attempted City Link delivery

I've come home this evening to a City Link card saying Sorry! (of course, because I've been at work all day)

After waiting about 20 minutes to get through to them to try to change the delivery address to my work address I am unable to as I need to contact the sender.

Don't know who the sender is as the only thing I'm expecting is a Southern Comfort t-shirt from their Facebook comp, and I reckon that'd be sent via Royal Mail as it's small and light and would fit through the letter box.

So the guy at City Link tells me the sender is Michael Davies and Associates Limited.

No clue who they are, but a google search reveals they are a marketing company, which is only a good sign!

I've had no WEMs or WTCs recently, so I dunno!

It's being delivered to a neighbour tomorrow so I can update everyone, but I'm so curious!

Can't wait for tomorrow! :j

  • That was an expensive way to get it to you :D Enjoy, and happy comping!
  • aww well done :)
2021 Please Be A Better Year
  • Well here's the update. Apparently it was signed for by someone with a misspelling of my surname at 9.57am this morning! Funny that when I was at work from 8.30am!

I've called them and apparently the driver put it through the door! Okay, fair enough, but nothing been put through the door, no card, and why has it been signed for then!?

I asked them to send to my local neighbouring shop (a 20 second walk up the road), checked with them, nothing has arrived (they've taken delivery of other items before and have no reason to doubt them).

Apparently the driver is going to return to where he "posted" it to get it back and redeliver to the shop tomorrow... does anyone else think this has been nicked by the driver? :(

  • Another update on this, so they have said the driver is going to be spoken to and they have spoken to the sender to send a replacement. I hope it doesn't come via CityLink again... :(

  • city link are quite frankly abysmal!

we ordered things from a site and they day of delivery came and nothing showed so i called them, woman on the phone said they couldnt get into the building (all you have to do is press the number on the intercom and then call) so i tell her this and arrange delivery for the next day

next day came and nothing, again called again to be told the same thing so once again i tell her to tell the drivers how to get in

and once again arrange delivery the next day

so the next day comes and yup you guessed it no parcels

in the end we had to ask my dad if he would take us up to their depot (which is in the middle of no where) and collect it

never again will i use a company that uses city link
