I want hair straightening irons

Now I know GHD straighteners are supposed to be the best, but I'm a bit dubious about them following the Watchdog investigations into them overheating and I think they are way overpriced.

I therefore looking for recommendations for a pair of standard width ceramic straighteners.

Thanks muchly

I was in Boots at the weekend looking at the same thing.

The best non-GHD ones are Babyliss Pro 230 - About £60 from boots....

Have just ordered mine online as there is an extra 500 advantage points for spends over £75 and free delivery - Promotional code KGAD66 if that helps

I just added on a decent blow drying brush and some protective serum and spray to take it over £75 (all of which I needed anyway).

If you spend over £100 pounds, use code KGAD77 for 1000 extra points

  • I've just purchased and used once, a pair of Vidal Sasson slim micro crystal hair straightners. Really nice too and adjustable heat setting. Only thing is, I've just had my hair chopped, so can't use them now.

anyway, here they are check link). Try ebay too, you can pick tem up on there.

  • I bought some Kodo straighteners off Ebay over five years ago, i used them a couple of times a week and they are still going strong.

Before that i had about 4 pairs and found none that worked on my thick hair. These Kodo ones go up to 230 degrees and are great, think i paid about £50 back then.
