Does anyone know the current rate per hour for Marks and Spencer ? It is for an instore customer assistant role. Also do they pay a Sunday premium?
A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.

A quick Google *hint hint* shows £7.06 for starters. My neice has worked there for a few years now and has risen through the ranks rather quickly. The perks are great as she has a discount card that close relatives can use, and the staff always seem like they're well looked after.
I'm not cut out for retail but if I was M&S would be top on my list of places I'd apply to.
I'd say go for it because they seem like a great bunch of lads to work for.

It varies where the branch is. They do not all pay the same starting rate per hour at different branches. You will find people who have worked for M&S for years who are on much higher rates than people who started in the last 7 years, plus they are on double time for Sundays and bank holidays whereas new starts will be on time and a half. I know people who have worked for M&S for a few years now and they are not on 7 quid odd an hour in their branch, despite being excellent at their job! They do pay better than many other shops generally though.0
