Greent.. you tell them the truth and you tell them now. They are not as daft as you think. Children are very astute and know a lot more than we give them credit for. (((hugs))) It is hard but necessary sometimes. I hope you are doing ok..

I have to echo this; I made the decision that there were behaviours I would no longer put up with; I've been single practically permanently ever since and I much prefer being captain of my own ship. Mind you solo crew means I am the galley slave et al

    BUT

IF I CBA to do it it (a) doesn't get done and (b) I don't care.
(And anyone who does complain gets a duster, or cloth or whatever;))

    hugs hon..

if he has been 'messing about' - well, you deserve better. End of.

and I cook a sunday dinner if I feel like it. I often don't;)

FLYING - glasses and non-dishwasher safe stuff washed. Wash load sourced. Spelling tests marked;)

Optomum hope you got a bit of rest in the end. If you have been having trouble for so long I'd pop to the GP to a chat. I don't have trouble getting to sleep just waking up earlier than necessary.

Not a busy day today but who knows what the kids will throw in. Plan is to make a dent in the dining room hotspot and maybe do HH in the garden if it's not too chilly

Bad flying day yesterday. Just did a few dailies and 3/4H ironing.

I'm working today. I will drive the littlies to school because then I will get 3/4H before I have to leave for work.

DH is back up to Yorkshire for the night. It's amazing now that DS1 is in full time college all his bad behaviour has ceased. DH and I haven't had cross words and the house is tidier. DD1 is back from her holidays and isn't hiding in her room but chatting to me in the kitchen and introducing me to the horrors of Jeremy Kyle. Her social life has taken off since she decluttered the boyfriend and it's lovely to see her so happy and free.

GreenT I hope you feel better for a night's sleep. Hugs.

Better get up and make the lunches.

Hope the sleep fairy visited. I had two little monsters in my bed last night, but I think we all got some sleep. DS was upset and told me "Finlay's daddy is in heaven too" but he can't tell me how he knows. Will have a word with nursery today. And DD just gets herself in a tizz if I don't sit with her till she's asleep. I blame holidays. Two weeks ago I could just put them both to bed, kisses night night and that was that.

Anyway. After my jittery day yesterday I've decided am going to wfh today. Some peace and quiet, and my own surroundings. I'll try get some of my extras done too...
