I have some Tresemme rollers, the velcro type ones.
How on earth do I use them?!
I have tried but just seem to get a kink in my hair.
They are the self grip ones
Thanks

If using on dry hair for a bit of oomph then spritz hair with hairspray then roll, use a hair dryer on a low setting or leave in for as long as possible. When ready unroll then use fingers to seperate and style.
If using on wet hair then add a bit of mousse or curling spray blow dry till damp then as above.
Somebody may have another way but this is what I do and it works for me.0 -

This is pretty much it. My hairdresser always used them on me when my hair was wet then put me under the dryer. I often put them in on dry hair but my hair's a bit frizzy so they didn't hold very well.
Try not to roll large chunks of hair, do a little round one roller.
I got rid of my velcro one's after a while and I've started using some heated ones. They're fantastic. You plug them in, let them warm up, put them in and clip them in place and let your hair cool before taking them out. I think they're better than velcro ones.
It might be worth mentioning I don't roll them all the same way. On one side they go round one way, and at the back and the other side they go another.
I watched this vid. She's great http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4roRzuPXgw0 -
What do you want them for volume?
I tend to pull most of my hair back the way first so it's going in an unnatural direction then roll, I get big bouncy hair that way! xThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

In my yoof rollers did nothing for my very long straight hair.
What did work was sectioning off my hair and doing lots and I mean lots of tiny plaits/pigtails.
Plaiting three tiny plaits and then winding onto a roller and sleeping with the rollers in.
It took me ages to do my hair:rotfl:I'm not that way reclined
Jewelry? Seriously? Sheldon you are the most shallow, self-centered person I have ever met. Do you really think that another transparently-manipu... OH, IT'S A TIARA! A tiara; I have a tiara! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me!0 -
Loads of great videos on YouTube.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Thanks, I will give them another go tomorrow. My hair just refuses to do anything vaguely stylish and I always end up looking like a scarecrow!
I don't like youtube videos, I don't have the patience to watch them!
The rollers don't seem to be as 'self-gripping' as they claim to be. Am I trying to use too much hair in them? Also, they don't seem to keep the hair rolled very tight, could that be why I am just getting a kink?
Heated ones are a treat for when I have cleared my next debt0 -

What length is your hair?
Yes you could be winding too much hair onto the rollers.I'm not that way reclined

I secure mine with kirbys usually. I wouldn't get curls from mine though, biggish, waves is about the most I'd get. xThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

My hair is quite long.
Waves would be nice, I just get a bend in the end of my hair!0 -
Definitely sounds like you are winding too much hair round them. Have you tried using tongs, do you get a curl from them. I've found rollers aren't much good for my hair, unless I use a load of product, but tongs do the trick as I get the right size of sections4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0
