Wedding Invitation Templates

Hi all

I'm looking for Wedding Invitation templates that I can get for free or cheap.

My theme is Vintage Beach/Seaside or Carnival. I love the Red and white stripes and the Admit 1 Tickets.

I don't have a lot of money to spend on the invitations/stationary so any pointers would be great as I'm struggling to find anything.

these people also have lots of carnival-themed things such as stripy sweets/popcorn bags and so on. even if you don't buy from them, you'll probably get loads of ideas!
    Life on a shoestring!
  • Ohhh good thinking on the question MissMunns and thanks to those who replied for the links! Have been trying to figure out how I'd do my own invites.
  • I bought a wedding invitation magazine from hobbycraft and it included a CD with wedding templates on it including invitations, table plans, place settings, thank you cards, etc... Also showed you how to make various items and how to fold card, stick it together, etc... Think it cost me under £3 for the magazine and I used it loads for ideas and everything matched and looked great (even if i do say myself...) Lol...

  • Ohhhhh thanks for all this guys .... Need as much help as possible! :)
  • I'm in love with these invitations thank you. Can anyone recommend somewhere that I can upload them to get them printed please? I was looking at Vistaprint, but would love some moneysaving suggestions if poss. I know the whole idea is that you print them at home, but by the time I've bought all the card (and a printer!) it will work out cheaper to get them done & sent to me I should think. x
  • Ok, I answered my own question on the above & thought I'd share. I contacted Vistaprint as the 40% off code I found on vouchercodes wasn't working. They emailed me back & said I'd been sent some offers in my vistaprint inbox. When I looked at it they had made the basic versions completely free (for 100 of each style). I ended up adding a few extra bits as it was all coming in so cheap and upgraded the standard of card I was using for the invites. I have got 50 daytime invites, 50 evening invites (all with envelopes), 100 RSVP double-sided postcards and 48 envelope stickers which tie in (for use on other bits) for £40ish. They also threw in 7 day delivery. I saved nearly £120. So my 'Free invitations' weren't free, but I am over the moon with these as they will hopefully be just what I want. I know other people have had issues with Vistaprint so I'll keep you posted as they should arrive later this week...fingers crossed this deal isn't too good to be true.

Can you remember the name? Or anyone know of something similar? Sounds like just what I have been trying to find.......many thanks!!:T
  • We were lucky a friend drew them for us as a wedding present. but on vista print you can design your own . we used pocket fold ivites which we stuck the printed drawing to. if you google invite it will come up with loads of ideas and use clip art and word (the watermark tool is useful if you want a picture in the background) you can change the effects and colours in picca.
