I just thought I'd quickly post that Blackwell's bookshops have currently got lots and lots of free yearly wall planners in their stores. Usually located near to the entrance/exit, they print these every September to hand out at Freshers' Fayres up and down the country. Waterstones usually also do their version too, which is a little bigger in size :P

The Blackwell's planners are approximately A2 sized (once the vouchers on the bottom and right-hand sides are removed), dark blue and have key holidays, events (such as the start of Wimbledon and the Glastonbury festival, Bank Holidays and yearly solstices) pre-printed upon them.

The only downside is that the actual day spaces only measure 2½ x 1½ centimeters, but--since the planner is free--I am not really complaining!

They also come with several money-off vouchers (one for each month) that can be used for book purchases over £60-ish. I would strongly suggest that you bin these, and use Amazon instead: which offers a perpetual 5% discount for students with an NUS Extra card [I think non-students can buy an NUS Extra card now, as well...]. Combine this with Amazon Prime and you can't go far wrong, especially if you need a book quickly!

I hope this helps, and isn't too detailed. I just thought it might save someone a trip, as Blackwells don't exactly proliferate high streets across the country.
