Congratulations! All the more amazing in context of your sig, shows how hard you've worked to get there.2023: the year I get to buy a car1

I like SSS's sig, it's a great example of a virtuous circle

Thanks KC and Ed
Virtuous circle, I like the sound of that
Just plodding along now until payday... The last two thirds of each month tend to be pretty boring financially!1 -
Today WILL be a no spend day, I've already summed up the May spends...
In May we spent:
£1529.69 on bills (running our home and two cars)
£326.11 on weekly shops (food, cleaning products, toiletries, nappies, etc)
£408.68 on everything else
The bills figure includes our £828.48pm accelerated mortgage repayment and insurance for one of the cars for a year.
Net worth update day tomorrow

Those are good figures, SSS, well done again!
Can I ask a favour? I notice you already read the first post I made today, on my diary - can I ask you to pop back and read the second, and comment if necessary? At the end of it, I've listed 3 action points to jiggle around the money and get it earning more, within the next year.

Wow, what a month!
Pensions and S&S have performed wonderfully. Car depreciation was particularly bad last month, but not bad enough to take the shine off May
Net Worth has crossed the quarter of a million mark :j Roughly split 50/50 between house value and everything else
Another nice couple of milestones achieved this month - we are now over 40k ahead of mortgage neutral in liquid assets, and are over 15% of the way to FI at a 4% withdrawal rate.
Net Worth increased by pretty much double our net income in May. If I didn't have all the figures in black and white in front of me I wouldn't believe it!

Quarter of a million? Now there's some walking around money, well done SSS
