£17.50 for a 45 minute multiple choice test met by training co, but you have to pay £30 to apply for the card (i you pass test)..
if unemployed, this will be hard to find. any ideas?
jobclub sometimes funds this IF there is a job to apply for, but most I have see nrequire you have this BEFORE you apply..

Do the test then apply for the card when you have saved up?
Are you unemployed and have you not got £30 in savings anywhere? If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
how important is it to you? if you arent bothered then just dont bother. alternatively save up as already suggested or just do it via some other organisation. you may find that you will be able to get it for free if you do it elsewhere. places like colleges, community centres, back to work projects all may offer it for free to people on means tested benefits.0

Contact City College Brighton & Hove as they may well have an ESF funded project which could help.0

Because of the requirement for a current employer to sign off the CSCS Card application form, a heck of a lot of people will be in the same position as you.
So, when you attend an interview for a construction-related job, your response to this question is that you have passed your H&S test and are in a position to apply for the card as soon as a job offer is on the table. They might even pay you for it (although more likely in that scenario they'll take it out of your first pay packet).0 -
I thought you got some sort of proof you had passed the test that you send of to CSCS for the card. Could you not say you have passed the test and will get the card as soon as you have a form job offer?0
