I have been on the work programme now since March at the moment i am a 18 week work experence programme working 3 days each week which is due to finish in 9 weeks time

My question is what happens next on the work programme if i have not found a job at the end of the 18 weeks . Also if the company that i am working 3 days each week with at the moment offer me a job do i have to take the job even if the pay is bad and the hours are short as is the case with most cleaning jobs

i've never heard of a 18 week placement before. are you under or over 25? i can only speak from the over 25 perspective. if you are over 25 then they may ask you to continue on the placement, ask you to go on a different placement, do training or just do jobsearch as well as one on one appointments with your adviser. the work programme lasts for 2 years in total.
if the employer offered you a job you would have to take it. if the job isnt right for you then you may be able to subtly do enough to ensure they dont want to employ you. basically always be keen and on time but be slow and maybe make the odd mistake. the chances are they are just exploiting you anyway and wont offer you a job even if you are brilliant.

You will still be on the work programme, that's if you haven't got a job.

I can understand turning a job down for not enough hours, but not enough pay? It would at very least be paying NMW so if the hours was FT then you should take it
