In a bid to cut down on my laundry liquid i'm using soda crystals, does anyone have any tips on where is the cheapest to buy large quantities from? I'm find the small bags dont last very long when using it for the drains and kitchen aswell

  • Don't know about large quantities, but for the 'normal' sized bag, most places I visit are selling for around 90p; however, Home Bargains (Dudley store, anyway) are selling it for 65p.

    :)
    If it's cheap, I'm cheerful!

you could try and get some from the wholesalers

    12x1kg for £4.99 http://www.yasminimportexport.20m.com/householdcleaner.html 41.5p per kg
    or
    12x1kg for £5.99 http://www.fjarpino.com/product_info.php?products_id=7486&osCsid=427bcbebbf9b888d136eee9790c62625 50p per Kg

assuming the home bargains one is a 1kg pack like that sell in the 99p stores.

Keep an eye on your coloured washing . I think soda crystals have a bleaching agent in them. I could be wrong , as my Grandfather used to put them in his bath . But better safe than sorry .

    Soda Crystals dont contain bleach

Unlike modern cleaners and detergents, Soda Crystals contain no phosphates, no enzymes, and no bleach. They contain no perfume, and they have no odor. Actually, Soda Crystals contain no "extra" anything. Which is quite rare these days.
