I did some shops today. Made a couple of stupid mistakes, but overall a good result cos I kept to tried and tested stuff. Interestingly the regular Dairylea triangles 16 pack came back as comparing as Asda £1 Sains £1.95, but the the Pilgrims choice extra mature x2, still compared as A £6.56 S £1.95:huh:
DS2 started college this week. It seems only yesterday he was starting school and now he is all grown up. I feel for those who are sending their kids off to uni, it must be such a wrench. Though I must admit I would love tidy bedrooms;)Sealed Pot Challenge No 9 516 target £250

Thanks again though.
You sound just like my DH:rotfl: Much too modest. You should give it a go, cos you never know.Sealed Pot Challenge No 9 516 target £250

Yeah that makes sense. It doesnt look like anyone else is buying them in my store as they only seem to go down by the amount of shops that I do. I was thinking today how can they justify charging that much for beans even if they are "posh".
I see the stocks changing frequently in local stores here, some days they're sold out, other days fully stacked. I've also noticed the Heinz Beans 200g tin is a good seller... so people are happy to pay 50p for "half" a tin of Heinz Beans when they could instead pay 26p for 410g of value beans... not a choice I'd ever make, yet plenty of others do!0 -

I'm starting to look for items that are good offers in A but N/A for comparison, therefore useful to reduce APGs.
This hopefully works for an A vs S shop:
Princes Chicken in White Sauce (400g) £1.48 any 2 FOR £2.00
http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/#/asda-compare-prices/tinned_meat_and_poultry/princes_chicken_in_white_sauce_400g.html
£2 is a good price for 2 tins of chicken in white sauce and shows N/A against Mr S but would lose 50p for every 2 bought on an A vs T comparison.
Similarly this might be good, not comparing with any competitors on MSM:
Princes Hot Chilli Con Carne (400g) £1.48 any 2 FOR £2.00
