Exit fees: none in contract

Hi, I am looking to reclaim my exit fees, however they have come back and said there was a leaflet saying the level of fees were £150 at the time I took out the mortgage, but there is nothing in the contract. They charged me £195 and therefore have offered me a refund of £45 as a "gesture of goodwill". Is this right and should I accept?
Thanks
Thanks

it is common to have the fees on on separate leaflet. i think you should accept. £150 is not to bad these days.0

Who was your mortgage with, when did you sign your last contract with them and when did you redeem? That'll help us narrow it down a bit for you.Scott0

Its with Bristol & West - we took it out 4 years ago and redeemed at the end of last year.

This seems to be correct then, Lucy, the sealing fee at the time you took the contract would have been £150 and they are following the FSA statement correctly.
Still, £45 in your pocket!Scott0
