Yes- I made a mistake on the institutions- its annual not monthly.

Re mortgage- having CCCS support next week,so am hoping they can help.
At this stage I don't want to pre-empt actions, but rather look at options.

    Thanks!

Have you contacted CCCS re a Debt Management Plan or help with paying your Debts?? am not sure they will be able to help to be honest .. in order for them to take on your accounts you would need to have at least some surplus to make payments with .... at the moment there is no surplus.

  • Hi
This happened to me but i ended up leaving as the situation became untenable, a decision i now regret.
I am registered disabled too, mine is a mental health issue so its not always apparent although sometimes its very obvious too.
You should be entitled to council tax benefit wich often means no council tax to pay.
You should also be able to get employment support allowance which is in the region of £350 a fortnight and also they will pay a % of your mortgage (only interest not equity)
you should also be able to get DLA which is not means tested and if you require a carer they can claim carers allowance, if your disability is severe you can get severe disablement allowance.

The link below will help you find out all things you are entitled to

I hope this situation improves, i know its tough but try to remember to communicate with the people you owe money too, its scary but if they know they can help, if they dont thats when they get antsy.
If you need a shoulder i am here

It'd be a debt management plan. I'll be going mad selling stuff on ebay this weekend and have already sold stuff for £80.

I will have surplus when my health insurance pays me. Back money.

I'm presuming your grocery outgoing is per week?

You need to bin the mobile and the landline, and the TV and TV licence. These are non-essentials and when you're running so far negative month on month you need to get rid of them.

You also shouldn't be spending £20 a month on clothes really, or paying £25 in pet insurance. You're also not in a position to be running a car, so you need to sell that and cut that cost.

Some may think i'm going over the top, but you literally need to cut EVERY unnecessary expense. You should also be applying for council tax benefits and may get this backdated. You can apply for housing benefit too.

The major thing you need to get sorted is your debt - write to them all and only pay what you can afford (which is nothing at the moment).
