Go about getting maintanance from my ex who lives in Australia?

Not going to go into the story but he is an Aussie and lives there permantly.

Basically I have a dd to him and he doesnt pay anything for her.

I want him to, his sister has said I should go to the CSA and get him to pay. (she mentioned that when she had her eldest, she had to come home for a year to here and her DH had to pay CSA from Australia).

He is working at the moment. He has a son that he is supposed to pay out for (although doesnt very often unless this has changed) and he now lives with someone else and her two children (bite my tongue time as he cant be bothered with his daughter :mad: )

Is there anyway to get him to pay from Australia?

I think the csa only deal with cases where the nrp is resident in the uk.

when i worked for the agency i closed a case because of simlar circumstances the guy was moving to Australia. my advice to her and to you is look to opening a case with the Australian Child Support agency. the only way that you can get the CSA in this country to persue him for maintenance is if the company he works for over here is a british run company and pays its tax through this country

I believe countries that are part of The Hague Convention (Australia and th UK are both members) have a reciprocating agreement with other member countries where child maintenance can be legally sought and demanded.
