Disposable camera bargains

Hello, This should probably be posted on the Grabbit board, but I've just bought loads of silver disposable cameras from Superdrug for my wedding. They are 3 for the price of 1, so 3 for £3.99. I'm going to pop a couple on each table & give one to my 8 year old brother to keep him occupied, for £1.33 each I think this is quite a good little bargain.
(Just make sure you check the dates if you're planning in advance, they have a 'must be processed by...' date on the bottom.)

Well just in case you were going to go to either Biggleswade or Kensington High Street they are both empty, but the others should have some & a member of staff told me this offer is going to be on for a little while longer.0

As a wedding photographer myself, I see these cameras at receptions all the time and talking to the couples afterwards, none of them ever seem to get any decent usable shots from them. Obviously they are the cheapest possible cameras, not very good quality and not suited to the dark reception lighting out there. The cameras seem cheap but when you add up the processing costs as well, it can can quite expensive when most of the shots are blurred and have to be binned.0

We had disposable cameras for our wedding in July- but we used them as a game for the children- each child got a camera and a list of photos they had to take- the kids loved it and it kept them quiet for a while!!:rotfl:
I did feel very  when I started to get prices for getting them processed (The cheapest at first was about £7 per camera for one set and a disk and I had 8!)- my tip is go to asda if you have one near to you. They charged me £2 for processing each film and the £1 to put them on a disk- but for 8 cameras they only needed 2 disks so £18 in total. I dont have a set of photos for each camera- but that doesnt bother me because I will just pick out the good ones and will get them printed when I see a good offer somewhere.
The quality isnt great- but for us it was more as an entertainment thing- and we do have a few keepsake photos so it was worth it.0 -

are these a Superdrug "own brand" camera??0 -
Yep these are the own brand cameras. I'm not expecting any great masterpieces and I am having a real professional photographer, but it's a good way to get involved and especially for the little people and hopefully we'll get 1 or 2 nice unusual shots.
Thank you PinkPrincess for the good asda tip0 -
brilliant - my mum works in Superdrug and gets 30% off own brand stuff
so might get a few and do as PinkPrincess above suggests and make a game for the young ones.
Also thanks for the Asda Photo tip PinkPrincess :money:
