kays have handed our account to debt collectors due to arrears. we have run the account for 20 years without problems.we currently collect £20 weekly which equates to minimum monthly payment of £80 [ are you keeping up-this is what kays doesn't understand]. over the past few months kays have increased the supposed minimum payment steadily up to £257 for this month and as we can only pay what we collect, they've labelled us with a bucket load of arrears. having sent them all the account details and a breakdown-they wont reply!! so we're going to be blacklisted for a debt we dont owe [the customers actually owe it] we,ve also been fined a total of £51for the short payments. anyone had a similar experience with them?if so i'd like to know how to beat it. i'm 70 years old and dont need this sort of harrassment.
hope it's not too long-it's the first time i've done this.

Hi happy easter. And welcome to the site. Is there any reason at all they should put up your payments. Now you can claim back the charges they have added to your account. As long as its not interest. Late payment charges etc. Can you give us a run down as to how or why this has all happened. Dont worry too much now. You are among friends here. I dont know too much about kays but someone will be along shortly who does. I will keep bumping your thread nup so it stays on first page till someone else comes along. xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I take it from what you've written that you're an agent for Kays and money outstanding is from customers not paying and not you not paying? I'd suggest you made an appointment with the CAB regarding this situation as it sounds horrendous and hopefully they can help.

my wife is the agent of 20 years standing. the balance according to her ledger £467.49-i've checked this and it is genuine.kays say it should be £583.

i cant tellyou why the monthly payments went up. there appears to be no reason except it appears to be incompetent staff

we have written to them but they dont reply. all the customers are up to date according to there agreements ie 20, 40 and 100 weekaccounts. and your probably write the CABmay be the way out.
