I bought a Canon 400D at Jessops yesterday - am really happy with it, but the woman in the shop told me that I can go online and claim £50 cashback from Canon...... I'm just not sure where or how?? Anyone done it??
Thanks in advance

Ive had a look on canons website and it doesnt seem to mention a cashback on that model. Id go back to jessop's ask for the manager give him the receipt and ask him how the cashback is achieved. If your hell bent ask them to take the camera back as that was one incentive that made you buy it - alternatively ask for a better deal to retain the camera.0

Hi , I have used their offers more than once and have had no problems. Click on this link that is used specially for their offers.

You'll see their offer on your 400D. BUT as Quattro kindly pointed out below you have purchased outside of their offer dates of 1/4/7 to 30/6/7. I would go straight back to Jessops having printed off the page from the link above to show they got it wrong and ask what they were going to do about it. (Many Thanks to Quattro for pointing out the dates. I'll put my glasses on next time !!) Regards. Andy0 -

Hmmmm .... you do need to check the glasses. I think you'll find 'he' is a 'she'!!:Dsuzzi2704 wrote:I bought a Canon 400D at Jessops yesterday
Trust you do get the £50 back .... if you bought the standard 400D .. you've likely paid Jessops close to £60 above eg the Amazon price, I'm afraid?

Hey hey.
I'm Suzzi's OH and just thought I'd update the thread while she's in the shower.
Popped into Jessops again with the T&C's and discovered the offer was started a day early in ALL canon retailers/resellers. It would appear they simply haven't updated the T&C's yet.
We were told to send the application through as normal and if it was rejected they'd happily refund/rebuy for a newer receipt! Job Done.
As for the whole "cheaper at amazon" deal, when something costs this much, and its the first time someones buying it, and its also a present (which I know wasn't told in the first post but hey), then sometimes the satisfaction of having a shop to go into if there's any problems is more than what the internet can bring!
In other words if she struggles to get something working and doesnt know if its faulty or just her, and shes really struggling, a simple walk into a Jessops will ensure she receives good treatmentWhat can amazon do except an RMA lol.
(Its her first Digital SLR as well)
I agree the internet is cheaper, but until there's better live customer service, for new buyers retail can still be the best option![FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."
