Unfortunately it's not Waterstones in Oxford, who called yesterday to say they had to recruit very quickly so did so last week while i was in Glasgow for a funeral. Bit miffed but c'est la vie.
Anyhoo, it's for Costa. I only sent my CV in yesterday so I'm quite chuffed at getting an interview so quickly. I've never worked in a coffee shop before but I have a vague idea of possible questions to ask.
But I'd be very grateful for any help or tips anyone might be able to throw my way.

Why do you want to work in Costa? Answer might be like: because I want to use my interpersonal skills to give customers excellent customer services in the challenging environment that Costa offers.
Good luck though, hope it goes well."Nothing, Lucilius, is ours, except time." - Seneca

Have a look here: http://www.costa.co.uk/careers/in-store-careers/
Also, think about the key skills you'd need for that job - customer service, attention to detail, ability to learn about the products and services, communication skills, flexibility, working under pressure in a busy shop etc. What examples do you have to demonstrate you've done these things before (not necessarily in a coffee shop, but to prove you have and can use those skills)
Learn a little bit about the Company. Don't need to know everything but get a feel for how they present themselves, their values, mission statement etc. Don't just learn a bunch of facts to parrot back at them, have a think about why what you've learned is interesting or important and how it might be relevant to you if you were working in that job.
Finally, Good Luck!!!0 -

How many coffees they serve in a day?
Whats the average spend for a customer?
What training will you be given?
Make sure you know how many Costas there are in the UK and how many more there will be in the next year.
Do they use only Fairtrade Coffees?
Who does the ordering?
How often do they do stock takes?
How many people in the team at that branch?
How will the shifts work out?
Who do they see at their biggest rival on the high street?
etc0 -
Plus the upsell target as everywhere upsells (ie what is the normal target) as most places have to upsell something, whether its the sweets near the counter. Career progression through the company etc
Well done though and good luck!:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one
