Thursday 6th Sept - What small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important . :money:

Hi gang,
Thanks for starting the thread ziggy - it's lovely watching nature at work....the other night we had dinner al fresco and it was lovely to see the bats flitting about.
Determined - keep going with the non smoking - you're doing so well xx :T
Perni - I thought the thread has been quiet recently (says she who doesn't post that often)
Well, I've had a lovely day today - we ended up getting a bus to Newbury having a mooch around then meeting hubby from work to get a lift home
So, today I have/will :- Breakfast and dinner from stores
- Lunch at wetherspoons - soft drink and a burger £4.99 so you can't really complain
- Actually managed to phone the tax office about my ni payments - they've received the letter but there's been no action on it in 3 months.....will chase up again when I am on holiday in 8 weeks (not that I am counting)
- Had a mcflurry and a cheap coffee for almost the price of a coffee in a chain
- Actually squeeled with delight that Newbury has a Cath Kidston store - as they opened today there was a raffle running.....filled in my details on a card as there is a chance to win a £250 spending spree.....I was a bit cheeky and asked for one for mum and filled that in for her. We've agreed that if one of us win we split the prize
- Got hubby to stop off at Evans so I can look for a pair of trousers but they didn't do long - when will these companies learn that there are taller plus sized people in the world ??? ( rant over )
- Put change in coke bottle and a £2 coin in my sealed tin
- Got in to a card through the door for a parcel which I hope are my college textbooks
- Got an email to say that quidco has paid out - will move this to my aat fund
- Tried not to get excited for my interview next week (bursting to tell someone but best not)
- Off to WW in a moment - will take a coffee with me as I'm not so keen on theirs
Think that's it for me I'm off for a gossip
Take care everyone
