More plants than I have space for!

Hello all,
I can't find the post on the site but I'm sure I got to this competition through MSE. I only recently started "comping" and went hard at it for a few days, and then ran out of time to keep going and have had a bit of a break.
That made it all the more surprising yesterday, when the postman handed over a box from Mr F!!!!!!!!!s. It contained 40 lettuce plants, and an order form saying another 40 brassicas would be delivered from late Sept, as well as 3 types of parsley seeds and 3 types of radish seed. I was blown away and spent the whole day sure someone had made a boo-boo at Mr F!!!!!!!!!s and sent the order to the wrong address. But the price was listed as 0 all the way down, and when I logged into my account at Mr F!!!!!!!!!s I found the order as being placed on Monday 3rd. Certainly not me.
I could hardly send the plants back, even if it was a mistake, and I do like lettuce, so I began trying to pull together some space to put 40 lettuces. This was made especially hard since some of them need a greenhouse and we only have a plastic thing we'll be taking down before the frosts. We have a good sized garden, but the veggie patch is modest and still covered in bean plants and beetroot, plus I'd only recently sown a green manure on the only spare plot so there was really no space going, certainly not enough for 40 lettuce. And then another 40 brassicas were on their way? 80 plants?! In my garden?!
I was doing a spot of comping yesterday evening when I noticed an RHS competition for blueberry plants and thought it looked familiar. A google search and a cached page confirmed my surprised delivery wasn't a mistake, it was a competition win! This one ended August 27th and boasted "Win a veg collection including winter lettuce and parsley worth £30."
I am overwhelmed but delighted to be one of the 15 winners and somehow I will find space to put all these plants! I felt a bit like I was in one of those movies where the woman opens the door to find a bassinette and a needy baby on her doorstep!
Comping really is worth it, and you'll certainly be surprised at what you win! I've received no communication to tell me I'd won so you never know what might turn up on your doorstep!

Well done! Thanks for sharing your story. You won't need to buy any salad for a while that's for sure! It's sounds like you are quite green fingered anyway so I'm sure you'll manage (just don't tell the slugs!). A great win and one I'm sure you won't forget in a while!
