Why do people resent banker/trader bonuses?

I did not have a private education. I left school at 16 and am now an assistant investment manager through hard work and exams through my job. I don't agree that it is money we can afford to lose, regulations see to that. Most of us just try and provide a service that generates a better return than the banks and do not make risky decisions. People in this industry work very hard and bonuses are profit related. A whole profession cannot be blamed for these mistakes. After all people borrowing what they couldnt afford to pay back is the reason my generation cannot buy a house so think of that next time you are sitting comfortably in your own front room
