Reclaiming overpaid PAYE tax for previous years

in Cutting tax
Hi,
Sorry hopefully very easy question. I've recently realised I have been on a BR tax code meaning I haven't received my personal allowance, certainly for 11/12, i'm pretty sure this is also the case for 10/11. Is there a form or something I need to complete? I phoned up after getting throughly confused by their website and was told they automatically check and were in the process of doing mine, I'm not entirely convinced thats true as why wouldnt they have refunded 10/11 tax? Should i be doing anything or is it just a sit and wait now?
I should say i've completed a P46 and recieved a corrected tax code pretty quickly and this years tax refund in my next pay cheque.
Thanks,
James

It is true - they are dealing with refunds/underpayments now.
Wait a bit and then chase it up again.0
