Polskie Smakie - A Taste of Poland at Lidl

From Thursday 6th September, Lidl is running a promotion on Polish food.

I thought it might be a good idea to list the products, not just because there are bargains to be had but because Lidl helpfully translated products into English. So if you have a Polish shop nearby but no Lidl, you can look at products and know (a) what they are (b) what's a reasonable price.

Brand names are in capitals.

i always wondered what you did with the perogi. ive seen them in the frozen section in mr t's before for 99p and always wanted to grab a pack or two.....

That Winiary mayonaise is extremely good. Much more eggy and a million miles better than H*llmans or other supermarket stuff

Perogi are easy to prepare. Drop them frozen into rapidly boiling water. They are cooked when they float to the top. Drain. You can either serve them boiled as is with butter, onion, and bacon sprinkled on or along side Kielbasa sausage. Or you can lightly fry them in butter and onion until the dough is firm and golden.

Polish specials in the past have included a veggie seasoning in a pouch,cant remember the name but started with a K,this is very good.
