Clearing off loans with BT.

I hope I am in the right forum.

I would like to clear off my loans with BT. However I have few questions to ask, I tried to search around the forum but can't find an answer to it.

So, I have a personal loan about £3k left to pay off. I would like to know if I could apply for Tesco 0% balance transfer to pay off the loan? Or does it only allow balance transfer from another CC?

Also I would like to ask if I was given £5k credit for the Tesco credit card, will the balance transfer calculated in the £5k. - Which means I only have £2k credit available?

Thanks in advance for those who answer.

  • Are you not able to simply pay off the entire loan balance using the CC?

To answer the second part - yes. If you transfer a £3k balance onto a Card with a £5k limit you would be using up £3k of your available limit.

I would assume paying up with CC means the 0% purchase? I dont know why I never thought of that! Make more sense now.
    Thanks!
