Online surverying!

Options
Hello!

Just after a bit of advice, me and partner have just moved into some new digs and as a result pennies are a bit tight (as well as Christmas just around the corner) so im looking to try and boost my income from home.

Had a quick look on MoneyMagpie and they list some sites that do paid online survey work, has anyone done this? is it worth while? Even if it boosts my income by say £10-£20 per month, its putting my internet connection to better use than twitter or facebook!

Any help or advice would be appreciated

Cheers

  • When i tried to do this I was never in the target market for any of the surveys. More effort than what it is worth in my opinion.
  • I've done a few but for Avios Points (which you can use as BA frequent flyer miles or in some online stores) and whilst I can't claim to have made a fortune I think it has been worth doing. I use e-Rewards (can't post the link because I'm a new member)
  • I have used several survey sites and now only use two regularly.

    one is My Surveyhttp://uk.mysurvey.com/

    and the other is

    YouGov

The first is consumer type surveys and the second is more opinion type polls.

MySurvey offers a wide range of ways of getting paid...I have sometimes got paid in Facebook credits or used a voucher to do grocery shopping at Iceland. Some of their surveys also result in freebies with follow up surveys.

YouGov only pays out when you reach 5000 points which pays out at £50 but the site is a bit of a slow burner compared to MySurvey

I am a member of loads of survey sites. So far this year i have earned just over £900. This includes both cash and voucher payments.
At the moment i have got 300 vouchers, which can be used in loads of shops.
Also got £50 vouchers for next, for our eldest grandaughters birthday at the end of this month.
Check out this other thread about survey sites.

I'm not a huge fan of online survey sites as a way to make extra income, but one of the better one's which is mentioned on this forum quite often is Crowdology.

  • Hi

    There was a great thread discussing survey sites a few months ago;

As you can see there are so many survey sites! I have to agree YouGov and MySurvey are very good. I also like PanelOpinion.

    Hope this helps Jimbob!
 2014: £20 voucher from SurveyFriends, £10 cash payout from Panel Opinion too and working towards more from Valued Opinions currently.
2013: £35 and £50 vouchers from SurveyFriends! More than £15 made from other paid surveys sites (Yougov, Panel Opinion, Valued Opinions, Pinecone, etc.) Happy so far!

I think that you might struggle to earn £10 a month from a single company, and it will be time consuming doing basic online surveys.

I've moved to signing up with a company called Fruitful Thoughts for online surveys. www.fruitfulthoughts.co.uk

I haven't reached the £8 withdrawal yet, but then I've slow at getting around to filling out the surveys.

You can make more than that via swagbucks :) I make about 30 quid a month, some people seem to make more.
