I must have spent loads on stamps since November.
Obviously not much point in speculating to accumulate, just keep it free.
I've been doing postal comps since about October last year, spent a fair bit on stamps since then, and most of my wins have been online.
I'm thinking of giving up the postal comps, or just entering postal comps with the bigger prizes.0 -

Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever won anything from a postal entry  Oh actually, I did win a local one, tickets to a comedy night but that's it... I must have spent loads on stamps since November.

I tried an experiment in feb and march and entered around 30 postal comps per week. I got very cheap stamps with the LTSB save the change loophole (now ended). So far I have got no wins from them. I am going to give it a few months before drawing any firm conclusions because prizes can come in arrears. Reading what people are saying on other forums, it seems postal cpmps can give poor returns in general. Of course there is always the chance you could win a biggie.
My only non online win on my list (crafty stitches tickets) was a text entry. I am delighted with the wins from free online comping.0 -
I did postal comps for about 6 months and won a few small things but I found that the stamps cost more than the prizes were worth so now I only enter postal comps if either the prize is something I really want or it is of high value. I've had better luck from the online comps which is funny because if you look at the website of the woman who makes a living out of doing comps she said the online ones arn't worth doing2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

Wifey and I went to the vitality show on Friday. While there I entered lots of competitions. Got a call over the weekend saying that I'd won a makeover and portrait photos for me and four friends so in 3 weeks time I'll look like a 21yr old (:p instead of a 50yr old:p ). Now that's what I call a prize!!:rotfl: Wonder if full-body botox is included in the makeover?
My first and only win. Now, why couldn't it have been tickets to the footy?if you don't have anything nice to say, keep schtum.
