Reduced food: When is the best time to buy?

Hi, when is best time to grab a bargain with reduced foods? When my bf and I do our random shops we only see things on the off chance and sometimes get a great bargain. Most of our shopping comes from reductions but I'd love to know how we can maximise, especially on fruit n veg.

    Hi Sterling,

I think it really varies from store to store, I always used to nip about about 7ish, luckily I have Mr T Mr M and Mr A right by me, I would pick up some great bargains, but now on the way home from work at 5 I nip to Mr M and they seem to be doing a lot of reducing then, was in Mr T at 1.30 the other day and came home with so much reduced fresh meat to bung in the freezer.... brilliant......

Has been discussed in many threads in the past. General result on these discussions is that there is no set process within each company , and individual stores operates a policy that works best for them. Only way to do it is to visit your local store at different times and see what is going on. For me that means visiting Sainsburys about 2 hours prior to closing time.
