The TV show starts tonight and tickets are selling quickly on SEE Tickets. Just bagged 2 stalls (row C) for £90.00, I would advise booking now and then resell when it all gets hyped up. Opening night 18th July.

    You're not likely to get anywhere near seetickets this morning, for Joseph or anything else... Glastonbury tickets went on sale there at 9am and the site's been down ever since.

    Thanks for posting this, I have no intention of selling my tickets but managed to get two this morning for opening night as we are in London for start of Tour De France, so thanks for making me aware that they had started selling so looking forward to a great weekend,

    If I wasn't so nice I'd wish that your tickets wouldn't sell.

    Sorry to be a party pooper, but I really would urge people not to buy theatre tickets off ebay or other touts. I work in a theatre and it very clearly says in our T&Cs that tickets that have been re-sold (other than by authorised agents) are not valid. Ok, the theatre is not necessarily going to find out that your tickets are re-sold, but they might and do you really want to pay through the nose and risk being sent away? This isn't just theatres being difficult for the sake of it, there are very good reasons why we do this;

    1) there is nothing to stop somone buying a pair of tickets, selling them on, then calling the venue to cancel and get a refund. You then turn up on the night with your expensive re-sold tickets only to find someone else is in your seats. The venue will investigate this and find out that your tickets were returned to them the day after you bought them from your tout and the other people have bought the returned seats legitimately from the venue. You will not have a leg to stand on (or a seat to sit on, for that matter!).

    2) Ticket touting is not regulated, which means touts are free to charge whatever extortionate price they want to and have no interest in looking after the people who are buying the tickets (by which I mean that the venue will always be honest about whether the seats you are buying have a poorer view, otherwise we'll be getting complaints all over the place, whereas the touts don't care about this as they'll have your money and the theatre will have your complaints). I'm sure not everyone who re-sells tickets does this, but there are people who do very nicely out of ripping people off.

    3) I really don't think the OP is intending to do either of these things, otherwise they wouldn't be telling us all about it, but he/she may not have considered is that by buying these tickets, you (and everyone else who's doing the same) are stopping genuing ticket buyers from being able to get tickets, which means that they will then have to resort to ebay or touts in order to see the show, which then leads into the points above. I'm sure your motives are by no means malicious or devious, but do you really think it's fair? Imagine you went to the supermarket for a loaf of bread only to discover that someone had bought them all and was selling them outside the shop for £3.50 - you'd be furious, wouldn't you?

    4) There are moves underway to make ticket touting illegal. I don't think it's likely to become law in the timescale we're talking about here, but if you're buying tickets with the intention of selling them on nearer the time you're risking either being left with tickets you can't do anything with, or if you do decide to sell them on anyway, you'll be well on the wrong side of the law.

    Here ends the sermon. ;) (and apologies to OP - I'm sure you're not trying to do any harm, but this is a real problem issue for theatres and it's something I feel quite strongly about. No offence to you intended.)

    Lets hope they also put an end to the exorbitant charges you add to the prices of tickets like booking fees etc. you are just as bad as the touts!

    Actually, I don't work in a West End venue - our prices are much more reasonable and we don't charge booking fees. I agree with you absolutely, the prices some of the more commercial venue charge are ridiculous.

    But I won't take it personally... :D
