Question about my Closing ceremony ticket

I want to get into the Olympic Park to have a look around for a few hours before the closing ceremony (I have a ticket for the ceremony). I'm not clear from the info on the official website whether the Park will even be open on Sunday! Does anyone know the answer to this question?
TIA

If it's the same as the Olympics your ticket gets you into the park frm the time it opens in the morning until they kick everyone out at night. You can only go into the venues ( aquatics centre etc) if you have a ticket for an event in there and in the run up to that event, they clear the venues after each session. Hope that helps have a great tme.0

The park will be open all day as there are events still taking place in the park.0 -
The way I read my Closing Ceremony leaflet I assumed I couldn't get into the Park until 17.30 which would have been similar to the Opening Ceremony. Having read the page on the website
http://www.london2012.com/paralympics/venue/olympic-stadium/visitor-information
it doesn't seem to explicitly say that you can't go in early but the gate closures could make things tricky depending on when you turn up. Even if you can get in they may shut some areas of the park so if you're going to take a chance then it looks like the earlier the better.0 -
The park will close about 3pm and reopen at 5ish for the closing ceremony, so you won't be able the enter the park until 5ish. Also, due to all the athletes that will be going into the stadium parts of the park will be closed off. Don't expect to be able to visit the hockey arena and velodrome side of the park as it will most likely be blocked by security. Enjoy the ceremony, it's bound to be amazing and its so much better then on TV!0

We're gonna head down there a bit earlier, if we're not allowed in before the closing ceremony time than we'll use our free travelcard and visit a museum0
